Hon. Senators from the South West Region have donated health equipment to help improve on health facilities in the Region. The donation which took place in Kumba last week was massively attended.
During the donation, the Senators appealed to parents to send their children back to school come September, 2017, arguing that education is very important for every success story. The appeal was made by the leader of the CPDM Senatorial group Hon. Senator Nfor Tabetando in Kumba on Thursday July27, 2017.
Addressing the population at the conference hall of the Kumba City Council, Hon. Senator Nfor Tabetando said the diverse gifts the Senators were doling out to the various Councils in the Region are predicated on the importance of health in the context of Cameroon and to improve on the health conditions of the population.
He further noted that the gifts, will not only boost the health facilities in the various health centres, but will also provide quality health care. He then appealed to the medics and the recipient communities to make good use of the gifts. Senator Nfor Tabetando then went on to appeal to the Mayors and Parents to ensure that their children return to school next September.
When the appeal was not met with applause, the Senator threatened to go on his knees. The population belatedly clapped to stop him from going down on his knees.
