Many Division in the South West Region once docile but now championing the Anglophone cause is now become restive and volatile. Youths in Ndekwai in Eyumojock Subdivision have threatened to desecrate tradition if their parents swear juju to enable schools to resume.

The South West Elite Association (SWELA) has appealed to President Paul Biya to release the rest of the Anglophone detainees held in various jails in the Cameroon.
In the letter dated September 4, 2017 and channeled through the Senior Divisional Officer of Meme, SWELA Meme branch through the Assistant Secretary General Prince Nasako Daniel Molondo appreciated President Paul Biya for releasing some Anglophones who were arrested in connection with the recent violence in the two English Speaking Regions of Cameroon.

Top IMF Official end three day evaluation Mission to Cameroon

The visiting Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Mitsuhiro Furusawa has ended a three day working visit to the country.
During an audience granted by Cameroon’s Minister of Finance, H.E. Alamine Ousmane Mey, the IMF official saluted the country’s resilience and progress in the face of the rising fiscal and external imbalances.

A young girl detonated a suicide bomb in a mosque in the Far North region early Wednesday, killing at least five worshippers and wounding others in an attack bearing the hallmarks of Islamist militant group Boko Haram.
According to Far North Governor, Midjiyawa Bakary, the girl, about 12, entered the Sanda-Wadjiri mosque in Kolofata after the first call to prayer between five and six in the morning.
